Thank you for your interest in this website. Alpro Pharmacy Sdn Bhd ("Alpro") values and protects your privacy rights. in compliance with the laws of Malaysia (including the Personal Data Protection Act 2010).
This privacy statement describes what Personal Data is collected from users ("you" or "the user") through this application ("the App") and how we use such Personal Data.
This privacy statement also describes your rights and how you can execute them.
Personal Information is information through which you can be directly or indirectly identified, e.g. your name, your patient ID, your address or information on your treatment.

You must reside in Malaysia and be 18 years of age or older to use the Application and the Services provided through the Application.
You must notify us immediately of any change in your eligibility to use the Services including but not limited to any changes to your medical condition or physical fitness.
In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 18 without parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible.
You agree to provide accurate and complete information when you register and to keep that information updated and accurate. When registering an account, you shall not use as an account name the name of another person with the intent to impersonate that person. We reserve the right to refuse registration of an account or cancel it at our discretion.

The Personal Data that we collect and the purposes for which we use it are:
(i) Your Name;
(ii) Date of Birth;
(iii) Mobile Phone Number;
(iv) Gender;
(v) Prescribed Drug Name and Chemical Composition of the Prescribed Drug, for the purposes of assisting you with managing your appointments with your Healthcare Professional and specifically in relation to the management of your medical condition(s) under the e-Merck Integrated Solution (e-MIS) program.
Purpose of Personal Data Collected
(i) to understand your needs and offering products and services to meet those needs
(ii) for evaluation and due diligence purposes
(iii) to respond to requests or complaints
(iv)for such other purposes as permitted by applicable law or with your consent; and,
(v)for all other purposes incidental and associated with any of the above.
We may also use your contact information to send newsletters via email or short message services (SMS). If you do not wish to receive such messages, you may opt out of these marketing messages at any time by calling our membership hotline, emailing us.

The Personal Data input into the App will be collected by your pharmacist and will also be input into a computer database at Alpro offices. The Personal Data will then be stored and hosted on an Amazon Web Services server located in Singapore. The Central Management System will be managed and operated by Rx Prism Health System Pvt. Ltd. ("RxPrism") located in Bangalore, India. The Personal Data collected on the electronic server will be password protected. The only persons with access to your Personal Data will be Alpro Program Coordinators and RxPrism. In addition, the sponsors of this e-MIS program, Merck Sdn Bhd and its affiliates will have access to anonymized, de-identified data for the statistical and analytics purposes.
This information will only include
(i) The number of patients recruited for the e-MIS program;
(ii) The name of the doctors of the patients (only for those using e-prescription services and only for Merck products);
(iii) The brands of Merck products prescribed and their respective quantities;
(iv) adherence rates of the patients recruited for the e-MIS program; and
(v) Number of people accessing educational information on the App and educational materials in which therapeutic areas are accessed.

Your personal information is retained for as long as is required for the purpose for which it was collected remains and until it is no longer necessary for legal purposes.
We may be obliged to store some data for a longer time (e.g. in cases of pharmacovigilance). In this case, we will ensure that your data will not be used for direct marketing purposes.

Alpro does not sell, share or trade customers' personal information collected with third parties.
Your personal information provided to us is processed by entities (within or outside of Malaysia) within Alpro (including related companies, subsidiaries, holding companies, associated companies and outsourcing partners), only relevant staff can access to your personal information. Your personal information may be disclosed due to reasons of law, legal process, litigation, and / or requests from public and governmental authorities only.

You are entitled to review and rectify any incorrect or outdated Personal Data we store, and you may withdraw your consent to the use of your data at any time, affecting all future use. You can also request a copy of information we store about you. All you need to do is to send an e-mail to:enquiry@alpropharmacy.com. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.

Your personal information may be disclosed due to reasons of law, legal process, litigation, and / or requests from public and governmental authorities only.

There may be links to Social Media websites in the information uploaded in the "Education" portion of the App. These links are not direct links and you have the option of continuing onto these links to various Social Media websites, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ and/or YouTube.
Social media providers such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ and YouTube are responsible for the collection of the data via social plugins. Please check the providers' privacy policies about their collection and use of Personal Data.

Your participation in the e-MIS program is entirely voluntarily and you will not receive any payment for your participation in this Program nor will you be required to pay for participating in the e-MIS Program. You are free to refuse to participate or at any time change your mind and withdraw your consent by informing your pharmacists without any negative consequences. Unless you provide your specific consent, all data collected and stored in the database and on this App shall be deleted, with the exception of a record of the date upon which the deletion request was made.
Changes to the Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to modify and change the Privacy Notice at any time without prior notice.
